About Rachel

As a dear friend once said, “I know YOU really know how to enjoy life!” This is one of the highest compliments Rachel could receive, as she believes in living a JOY-CENTERED LIFE. Joy should guide us in all we do and ultimately lead us to the most vibrant destiny possible.

Rachel has always been a unique individual, weaving her own path through life and always intent on helping others from a very young age.

She cared for every animal she could find growing up, applying various medical concoctions, and tended to all the babies and children in her neighborhood.

She had her own garden and sailboat, which she frequently took out on Lake Michigan for adventures with her pets and friends. Rachel has a profound and wise respect for relationships and soulful connections, and she still joyfully maintains her first sweet soul friendship from kindergarten.

Her curiosity and enthusiasm for design and human expression through all art forms were evident early on. It’s no wonder that her undergraduate degree focused on the Arts and Communication, followed by a Master’s in Oriental Medicine. Her interests in health, healing, helping others, and artistic expression have always been central to her life.

After studying at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California, she traveled with friends from Los Angeles to the Arctic Ocean. The dramatic beauty of the natural world inspired her deep passion for the environment, leading her to work at Patagonia Inc. headquarters in Ventura. There, she met Yvon Chouinard and his wife Melinda, who offered lunchtime yoga sessions for employees. This experience ignited her passion for travel, yoga, and later, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). She diligently saved money from this job to embark on a two-year journey of work, play, and discovery throughout Europe and Asia.

Rachel is a devoted mother of two and a conscious parent. She spent five years working at a conscious parenting workshop co-op. She is a deep lover of nature, a rock climber, and a scuba diver. She lovingly adores her two dogs and often helps heal animals with herbs, acupuncture, and her psychic abilities.

Rachel continues to seek knowledge and growth, constantly striving to better herself so she can serve others from the highest place possible.
